Typo Buddy: Find commonly misspelled deals on eBay

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

We are pleased to announce a great new tool for smart shoppers:

Typo Buddy is a tool to help you find commonly misspelled items, listings & words on eBay and Craigslist.

Say you are looking to buy a Louis Vuitton wallet or perhaps an espresso maker. When you search for those things on eBay you’ll normally be in a competitive bid situation. If, however, you can find listings where people have accidentally misspelled the item or made a typo, then nobody else will see the listing and you’ll be the only bidder. That is how you get a great deal on eBay!

Get a GPS Navigation System for your car for just $109.99!

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

She tells me what to do and where to go, and I like it. She is firm but caring, and she patiently corrects my mistakes. She is the disembodied voice in my GPS. I hate getting lost, I never know where I am going and so I love my GPS.

I have one built into my car and another portable one I use when traveling. I really won’t go anywhere without it. My portable one is a Garmin nüvi 350 Pocket Vehicle GPS Navigator with Maps for North America and it is great! It is small, it has complete maps built-in, it has a touch screen, and it even pronounces the street names, but it is about $370 new at Amazon. (One Amazon new reseller has it for $270, which is a pretty good deal, while it lasts, but it is still not cheap).

If, however, you can live without the newest technology, but you are still tired of getting lost, and hate pulling over for directions — or perhaps you have a family member like that ;) we have a great deal.

A Refurbished Garmin StreetPilot i2 GPS Portable Automobile Navigator from Amazon.com for only $109.99 + free shipping!

So a little more about what you are getting:

It is refurbished, but all refurbished items are covered by a Garmin’s warranty and Amazon’s 30-day return policy.

The i2 boasts many of the same powerful functions as Garmin’s premium vehicle GPS navigators. It has voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions through a built-in speaker, and should you miss a turn, the i2 will automatically recalculate the route to put you back on course. The unit moves easily from vehicle to vehicle thanks to the integrated suction cup mount. A convenient click-to-enter scroll wheel and a “back” button make it easy to select a destination.

To get you from point A to point B, the StreetPilot i2 includes a MapSource City Select North America NT DVD, which contains mapping detail of the entire U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The DVD’s nearly six million points of interest range from hotels and restaurants to gas stations and ATMs, along with local attractions such as amusement parks and museums. Simply load the City Select data onto the included 128 MB Transflash data card via a fast USB connection and you’re set, you can also upload your own points of interest.

Maps are displayed on the i2’s high-contrast backlit FSTN monochrome display, which includes a backlight for difficult lighting conditions. Motorists even have the choice of multiple perspectives–either a 3-D mapping angle or an overhead bird’s-eye view. For added convenience, drivers can power the unit with either two AA batteries (six hours, typical use) or the included 12-volt adapter cable.

The Garmin StreetPilot i2 GPS is not the latest and greatest, but it is mature technology that will keep you from getting lost and at just over $100 it is a good deal.
